Statement of Faith
We affirm the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. In accordance with these foundational creeds of the Church, we profess the following core beliefs:
-
One God: We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. God is eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
Jesus Christ: We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. For us and for our salvation, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and thedead, and His kingdom will have no end.
-
Holy Spirit: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father (and the Son). Together with the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit is worshiped and glorified. The Holy Spirit inspired the Scriptures, indwells believers, and empowers us to live godly lives.
-
The Church: We believe in one holy universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, composed of believers from every nation, race, and tongue. We affirm the communion of saints – the fellowship of all believers, across time and geography, who are united in Christ.
-
Salvation and Eternity: We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and that forgiveness and salvation are made possible only by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the necessity of spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We affirm the forgiveness of sins through Christ’s atoning sacrifice, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting in the presence of God for those who are in Christ.
(In affirming the above, we explicitly incorporate the substance of the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed as guiding statements of our faith.)
Moral and Ethical Values
In addition to our doctrinal beliefs, the Foundation adheres to conservative Christian ethical values that have been historically affirmed by the Church and are consistent with the teachings of Scripture. We uphold the following moral
principles:
-
Sanctity of Marriage and Family: We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God, joining one man and one woman in a lifelong union. This traditional view of marriage is fundamental to a stable, flourishing family and society. We affirm that sexual relations are a gift from God to be enjoyed exclusively within the confines of marriage between a husband and wife. We believe that the family, founded on the marriage of a man and a woman, is the basic God-ordained unit of society. Consequently, we support and promote family life, parental responsibility, and the nurture of children in faith and love. This view of marriage and family is consistent with the Biblical ethic and with the historical Christian teachings upheld by Church.
-
Sanctity of Human Life: We believe that all human life is sacred and created in the image of God. Human life, from the moment of conception until natural death, possesses inherent dignity and immeasurable worth. We affirm the sanctity of unborn children, the elderly, the disabled, and every other category of human life. The Foundation will not support or promote activities that violate the sanctity of human life (such as abortion or euthanasia), and we will endeavor to support efforts that protect and value life at all stages.
-
Christian Character and Conduct: We are committed to conducting all of the Foundation’s affairs with integrity, honesty, and compassion. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, and it provides the standard for moral conduct. We strive to exemplify Christ-like character in our work — showing love, justice, mercy, humility, and service in all our endeavors. The Foundation and its representatives shall not support or participate in activities that contradict biblical moral teachings. For example, we will not knowingly fund or partner with organizations that promote pornography, sexual immorality, the redefinition of marriage or gender in ways contrary to Scripture, substance abuse, or any other practices that we discern to be unbiblical or harmful to individuals, families, or communities. Instead, we will seek partnerships and projects that uplift moral standards and promote human flourishing in accordance with our Christian faith.
